Under judge breed specialist Gillian Skelly (affix Skelstaff) things got off to a good start for the North West when Bev Harrison won Minor Puppy dog with her home bred dog Trawden Ice Rebel, pictured right.
The next class Limit dog was a great win for Linda Miller’s dog Deldenas Black Shadow, handled by Geoff Boote, as always – well done to these two NW committee members. Second in this class was Mike Richie (from Aberdeen but still a NW member) with his Northsaltire Nice One Sam.
Then the North West went one better – John Finney – a long standing NW member – took the Open dog class with Ballindona Crafty Copper at Sanguliano, followed by the Dog CC and ultimately BOB.
On to the bitches and more North West success with Andy and Linzi’s bitch Joemikeste Queen Of The Nile at Fergiestaffs maintaining her winning run in the Puppy Class.
Paul & Liz Stanway didn’t have a bad day out – first up their Spanish import Stormfire Crack The Code at Waystaff, not long out of Puppy, won Junior
and this was followed up by another import, this time from Australia – Mosstrooper Making Mischief at Waystaff taking the RCC from 2nd place in Open.
The Axe’s with their puppy dog Harley’s Choice followed up their NW win with another First place, still in Minor Puppy. Second place in this class was the Brady’s Calazde Black Hawk War and this dog went on to win a strong Novice class.
We also have a pic of Nick Yorke and his Dog Braunstaff Feel The Noise (left), with a third place in Post Graduate as promised after his 1st in the same class at Welks (no pic!).
The Puppy bitch class went to the Blows appropriately named Valglo Deja Vu – this exhibitor has been out of the dog ring for a number of years making a comeback with this bitch.
On to Junior bitch and another win for the Stanways Stormfire Crack The Code at Waystaff – this bitch is going really well.
The North West featured well in the Puppy classes with Paul & Liz Stanway winning the Puppy Dog class with their Spanish import Little Earthquakes Powerstrike at Waystaff – pictured left. I think I surprised Liz a bit when I shouted to her for this shot.

Getting back to winning ways were the Allsopps with their young dog Rubericla Trailbreaker taking the Junior dog class – Bryn looks a tad harassed here – dog looks cool though
Last but not least the Dog CC winner from Post Graduate was the Lewis’ Biggleswick Splash Of Ginge (pictured right), finely handled by breeder Karen Thomas – a great result for all concerned and a happy bunch they were as you can see in the photo below
This show took place the following day with Breed Specialist Frank McCann (affix Albastaff) as the Judge.

Another double was the Stanway’s Stormfire Crack The Code at Waystaff winning the Junior Bitch class at both shows!!
Winner of Limit Dog at Western was Andy & Linzi Mayren’s Bellarouge Adonis at Fergiestaffs (pictured right), who came close to a double win with a third place at Bath in a strong Limit class.
