2021/2022 AGM’s

The 2021 AGM was postponed eventually to coincide with the 2022 AGM. This was held on the 30th January 2022 with 25 members attending.

The only business of the 2021 AGM was to approve the accounts for the previous year – 2020 – and propose and sanction Officers Honoraria for 2020.

The Treasurer Jan Matthews reported a loss of £649; the income was badly affected by the pandemic, restricting club activities to just one show. The accounts were duly approved and after much discussion a proposal to maintain the Honoraria payments at the 2019 amounts, was approved.

The main business at the 2022 AGM:-

The Accounts for the previous year 2021 were approved; Jan reported a surplus of £1404 – income streams for the Champ/Open shows held together in July were limited due to the Covid restrictions; this offset by considerably lower venue costs.

Officers Honoraria for 2021 was set at the 2019/2020 level;

A proposal to limit the term of the Presidency to 3 years was rejected.

Committee

The Club executive remains essentially the same, except for Eleanor & Geoff Boote standing down from their positions as Show Secretary and Membership Secretary – Vicki Butler and David Butler were elected to these two positions. Geoff was elected as the Vice-chairman.

As reported above at the 2022 AGM Eleanor & Geoff Boote retired from their positions – as Show Secretary and Membership Secretary respectively, although they remain on the committee.

They have served in these positions since the 2003 AGM – the Club President Archie Bryden presented them (see above photo) with an inscribed clock in recognition of this outstanding service to the Club over such a long period of time.

(Not altogether) new faces elected onto Committee – Bev Harrison, Chris Wibberley and Linzi Mayren, plus David Butler – welcome on board. Committee members seconded onto the committee during 2021 were Kay Aspin and John & Chrissy Howard – they were also re-elected. Eleanor remains on committee.
