AGM 2019

This was held on the 27th January 2019 with 28 people in attendance, at the Mather Room, Leigh.

The Chairman, Archie Bryden’s opening remarks were prefaced by a tribute to Alan Ramsden (below) who sadly passed away only a few days before.            Alan was the Club’s Show Manager for many years and carried out this role in a very professional way to the highest of standards.

There was a couple of significant changes to the Club executive – after 25 years in the job Archie chose this time to retire from the Chairman job – the incoming new Chairman is no stranger to these pages Tec Norton, who relinquishes the position of Publicity Officer to Elaine Norton.

The Club welcomes two new faces on to the Committee – Bryn and Julie Allsopp, also no strangers to this page as they are the owners of Ch Rubericla Trailbreaker, made up to Champion last summer.

Otherwise the Officers and Committee remain the same as in 2018.

Geoff and Eleanor Boote (Membership Secretary and Show Secretary, respectively) were elected to be Life Vice Presidents of the Club, in recognition of their long service to the Club.

A proposition was passed at the meeting to adopt the KC Criteria concerning the number of dogs that judges are required (to have judged) to get on to the A3 list.

Judges elected for the two 2020 Open shows are David Cartwright (on January 19th) and Vicki Butler (on October 25th)
