Julie’s Critique

I would like to give my thanks to the NWSBT club for this opportunity to judge their breed show.  I would like to thank my stewards for running the ring well. Many thanks to all the exhibitors for placing their dogs under me today, and allowing me the opportunity to examine the dogs and bitches that attended. The dogs today were presented in very good condition; coats were clean and well presented, it is important for exhibitors to be presenting their dogs in the best condition for the show on the day. Fitness of dogs overall was good, some good muscle tone on exhibits, others would benefit from more road work, also structure is important when breeding, poor conformation will affect the dog when moving, this needs to be addressed as it can bring other structural problems in the breed,  the mouths on the dogs today overall were good, no inverted canines, dirty teeth is not ideal, please make the effort when entering your dog.

I had a good entry (36 dogs) and thoroughly enjoyed my day out. Remember today’s placing are my opinion, and just that, my opinion only. I would like to thank all exhibitors for taking my decisions today sportingly. Thank you.
