Dogs – Judge Roy Day
Firstly I would like to thank all the committee of the North West SBT Club for a well run show and of course my very able stewards on the day who kept things all in hand for me to officiate with ease. I did not find any health issues on the day with only two very tight bites ,no inverted canines and none that were tight on the outside that would cause concern for me. Movement on the whole for me was good with my main concern being lack of drive from some back ends which usually accompanied not enough angulation or width , which to me is paramount to complete a balanced animal that would able to function, at what it was bred for ,with this in mind I was looking for well balanced dogs with great strength for there size.
Overall the quality was very good with breed type in abundance .I seemed to have very similar types on the day ,which was very pleasing for me and to say I enjoyed myself would be an understatement ,which I must thank all exhibitors for the chance to assess there dogs and the very sporting manner in which they excepted my decisions. THANK YOU
MINOR PUPPY

Black brindle with white blaze on his chest ,6 mths to the day and what a very smart youngster, his balance won him this class ,lovely head proportions with eye and ear placement correct which gives him a pleasing expression, nice straight front with enough width .tidy feet with slight turn out.short coupled with enough rib for his age, back end with correct angulation and enough width to balance this youngster off. Moved and handled very well for his age. lost out on maturity and strength to the puppy for best puppy, but I am sure this youngster will trouble most as he matures.

I would like to thank the NWSBT Club for giving me the privilege to judge their Championship Show and my two stewards who did an excellent job. Health, there were no really detrimental aspects, four or five misplaced canines. There were more dirty dentures than anything else. I was surprised by the quality in most classes, which means the breed is going in the right direction.
