Judges Critique

Many thanks to the committee for this opportunity my time with you was much appreciated, on the day I tried to judge to type, a type that fitted with in the standard as much as I could, size I did not find to be an issue of concern neither in height or weight, all exhibits were in splendid condition especially considering age the veterans, good heads and bone seemed to be the order of the day along with presentation, on the day many placing were decided on minor issues and my taste’s I’m sure some decisions on another day will change around.

Lastly my appreciation for the exhibitors sporting appreciation of placings must be mentioned.

General observations the presentation of the breed was great, there were many good heads and not many poor ones if any. I liked the fitness of the exhibits, in movement we had it all good poor and indifferent, mouths were great.

My Best in Show came from Puppy Dog, Harkin’s Listcall Uncle Buck In Harkline, a black brindle who was right up my street for type, very typical and correct through out a typey head strong for age but not coarse, his muzzle length and strength just right his ear carriage and expression was good his shoulders are laid  well and his front is straight, a short back leads to a well angulated rear, he stands on good feet, from my point of view he has it all going on. B.O.B & B.P.

My R.B.D & R.B.I.S came from Junior Bryan’s Valglo Legionaire a brindle dog with many virtues coming to the boil, ie very promising a typical typey head with a good expression a straight front short backed with good rear angulation fitness just right for age with good muscle tone

For my best bitch my choice was Karlsson’s Jewelstaff Ascari a bl brindle girl of good type who is very clean lined, her head is of good type with strength and expression she has a good lay of shoulders her front is straight, a shapely body that has depth, rear angulation was good
