Main Winners & Critiques
BIS & BCC – Shipp’s Ch Delacour Sweetest Taboo for Idyllicstaffs JW

Well, what can I say about this bitch, got all the spirit of a real staffed and does not
stop showing and on her guard all the time, a lovely white and brindle pied bitch with
a good square head, rose ears, dark round eyes, good pigment, deep stop and good
scissor bite, nice chest and straight front, level topline with she keeps on the move,
good angulation in backend and moves like a steam train with nice parallel
movement, and my bitch cc. Me and the other judge had no hesitation in making her
best in show.
RBIS & DCC – Hart & Halifax’s Ch Jackstaff Made a Boy for Albermarbull

White & red dog with a lovely expression. He has dark round eyes, large white teeth with correct bite, he is clean lipped and has neat, well placed ears. His neck fits well into his shoulders and he keeps his lovely outline stood, relaxed and on the move. He is short coupled with a good bend of stifle and has tremendous bone. He has a good sternum and forechest, stands on well padded feet and has well sprung ribs. He moves with reach and drive, making economy of effort look so very nice. Thank you for bringing him and allowing me to go over him. DCC & RBIS, congratulations.
DRCC – Moults Kamaristaffs Royal Legend at Moultstaffs

Black brindle with a strong head, dark eyes and neat, well placed ears, good bite and clean lips. He has a nice neck leading to good shoulders. He has forechest and length to his sternum which enabled him to have lovely reach. He has well sprung ribs and was in lovely condition but couldn’t match the CC winner on movement today. DRCC, congratulations.
BRCC & BOSV – Cartwright’s Zakstaff Winterfell JW

A lovley 9 and a half year old bitch that put most of the younger ones to shame with
her spirit and movement, built as a Stafford should be, square, in all ways, a black bitch
with small white stripe on front, lovely square head, rose ears, dark round eyes, deep
stop, clean muzzle, good bite and square chest and rib, level topline and good bend
of stifle and moved nice and parallel and my best veteran and my RCC.
BP – Martinez’s Bullbrothers Timelord

What a lovely, happy puppy. He is a fawn that has a lovely shape. He has dark eyes and dark pigment around his eyes, muzzle and ears. He has neat ears which frame his lovely expression, large well placed teeth with correct bite and a clean foreface. He has forechest and correct length to his sternum and his ribs are well sprung for a youngster. He is short coupled and has well muscled hindquarters. His front movement will develop as he gets older. He stood on well padded feet, would like his nails darker. He was a well deserved BPD & BPIS, congratulations.
BV – Wilson’s Ch Northstaff Notorious

Black brindle that has been there and done that. He is 9 years young (in this class they should all be 1st). He has a strong head, neat ears and dark eyes, his bite is good and he has a lovely expression. His chest is deep and he has length to his sternum with well sprung ribs. He moved well to take BVIS today, congratulations.
Class Winners
DOGS
Thank you to the North West SBT Club for the opportunity to judge dogs at your 2025 Championship Show and to my two ring stewards, you were a very welcome, efficient help on the day. I think Claire Crossman is a valuable asset to your Club, she didn’t stop all day, also her assistant, Anne Preston, who kept the show on the road—thank you ladies. Without our committee members doing the hard work before we get there, we would all be struggling. We need people on our breed club committees who are prepared to work.
To the exhibitors—you make the show, without you there’s no show, if you don’t turn up we can’t have a show, so here’s to you all, keep on turning up people, our clubs need you.
Today I found no short sternums, no closed nares and only a few tight canines. I did, however, find tight fronts and lack of spring of rib. Consistency was another thing. It’s something we all say—the dogs are all different, what the (insert swear word) is he/she playing at? Well, if the consistency isn’t there you can’t put it up, so you go looking for the best of what you have.
I liked all of my final line up, with the Open class being the strongest, which is where my CC and RBIS winner came from.

This boy nearly blew his chances today, he really made his lady handler work for his place but once he decided he would play along I found him to be a nice type. We are not there to judge how they behave, we’re there to find the good in them. He is not a small chap. He has a good head with big white teeth and is clean in lip.
