Presentation to Barbara Green

Before the show opened, we had a couple of surprise presentations.
Veronica Wardleworth and Audrey Hubery representing the Gallimore Trust and Stafford Welfare respectively were both at the show to make a presentation on their behalf (and all Stafford lovers everywhere) to Barbara Green in recognition of her incredible dedication and long service to rescuing Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
She has given over 45 years of her life to this cause, rescuing in the region of 4000 Staffords. The Gallimore Trust and Stafford Welfare have applied at least twice to the government recommending her for official recognition. As this was not forthcoming, we presented her with our medal and a bouquet, thus declaring her a Dame.
We think she loved it!

Make way for Barbara!

Presentation to Bev Harrison

The Club was also very pleased to present Bev Harrison with a special award in recognition for her many years of producing The SBT Annual. Thanks Bev for your hard work and enjoy your ‘retirement’.

Bitches – Judge Roy Day
First and foremost I would like to thank each and every exhibitor for their entry. I was truly blessed with a quality entry. I was more than happy with my final line up. I had some quality puppies which I will watch with some interest. The quality of the junior class really was of a high standard which bodes well for the future. The quality of open and limit classes was amazing and I felt quite humbled after these classes. I would like to thank the club itself for putting on another very successful show and thanks to the hard working committee. Lastly thanks to my two stewards Claire Crossman and Ann Preston for keeping my ring running smoothly.
I really enjoyed judging with my co judge Michelle Murphy and we were in agreement in all the awards at the end. Thank you Michelle it truly was a pleasure judging with you.
I could not leave out a special mention to my CC and RCC winners who are both exceptional examples of the breed and fit the standard to a tee, you girls really made my day.
I did not see any exhibits with any health issues and on the whole mouths were good so did not mention.my main issue was the width of fronts which were at times very narrow which usually came with lack of depth to brisket and gave the impression of being narrow and long when viewed from above.
