Thirty three members attended, somewhat up on previous recent years.
The Chairman, Roy Day opened proceedings, last years minutes were approved and the accounts for 2023 were presented by the Treasurer Tec Norton – he reported a small loss for the year – a year in which the Club did not hold a Championship show – a victim of the KC’s policy of three clubs missing out every year, the so called rotation. However, from 2024 all the Clubs will be allocated CC’s, indefinitely. President, Archie Bryden proposed that the meeting approve the accounts – this was unanimous.
Election of Officers for 2024 – President – two names proposed – Archie Bryden and Geoff Boote. Archie withdrew leaving Geoff as the new President. Chairman – Roy Day; Secretary – Claire Crossman; Show Secretary – Vicki Butler; Treasurer – Tec Norton; and Membership Secretary – Dave Butler were all elected un-opposed. Andy Mayren and Paul Sutcliffe were both proposed for the Vice-Chairmen job, and Andy got the nod and finally Diane Courtney was elected as Publicity Officer.
The new committee are – Elaine Norton, Kay Aspin, Linzi Mayren, Kerry Couzens, Gill Beckwith, Eleanor Boote, Chris Howard, Dave Heyes, John Howard, Paul Sutcliffe – all re-elected. New committee members – Tom Lowe & Ann Preston.
Bev Harrison and Christine Wibberley both resigned.
Election of judges for the two Open Shows in 2025 – Jane Neale and Faye Gardner.
Election of judges for the 2026 Championship Show – Paul Sutcliffe and Wayne Jackson – Paul agreed to judge the Dogs.
