BLUE……a rare colour?

Did you know that in the third quarter of 2012 , 140 litters registered with the Kennel Club were BLUE!

Yet the other 98 litters registered with the KC were non Blue, i.e. all other colours.

Unscrupulous breeders are still advertising Blue puppies as being rare and asking double the price of other colours. Not only are some of these adverts untrue they also contravene the

‘trades description act’ ! So, if it’s Blue you are looking for do not pay more than the going rate of all other colours as set out in the Breed Standard as being accepted colours. If you are not sure of the going rate,

you could find that  by checking the prices charged by accredited breeders. However,  if blue is the colour,  make sure that both the of the  parents have been health tested before parting with your money . ( see health section )
