A really good day had by all. On Sunday the 2nd of Sept the sponsored walk arranged by the NWSBTC on the behalf of Barbara Green and Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue took place and what a great success it was. How good it was to see 31 people taking part along with their dogs many of them were rescue dogs that had been lucky enough to find new homes. Their owners had brought them along to join in the walk to support and help raise much needed funds for SBT Rescue. On the day over £2695 (and counting) was raised to help Barbara continue to do the fantastic job she does caring for unwanted and abandoned SBT’s. NWSBTC members came together with members from other SBT breed clubs to walk the 5 mile hike across the beautiful Lancashire countryside, a break at a cafe about half the way round the route for a much needed cold drink and a bite to eat before we all headed off in the direction of the finishing point. The the Ramblix figure was presented the couple who had raised the most sponsorship funds, that was Paul and Claire Laycock , and a big well done to them . Lets hope this has been a help to Barbara to support the valuable work she does for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed.
